Bitterness to Eros

Who art thou? Oh fallen Olympian?
Art thou a poet, musician, else, a thespian?
For from those lips, nothing comes forth
But serenades of love, sonnets of my worth!

Thy arrows have struck, this heart, thou stun,
Weakening this soul, at the mercy of thy sun,]
This lifeless world, painted by thy beauty,
Captured by thy seduction, oh tempting deity!

But as I seek the warmth of thy caress,
Thou have flown, abandoned me lifeless,
Across the River Styx, I saw thy shadows,
Fading slowly, as I chase thee in the shallows.

Where art thou, oh beautiful creature?
Why have thou crossed over and leave thy stature?
Or art thou a being of Hades after all?
Deceptive demon, luring this soul to its fall!

... to be continued...
